Life as it is

I'm truly exhausted this week. I have been going out almost every day and I know I haven't been keeping you updated about my life. That's why I'm here to entertain you, readers! You like?

So where do i start? (thinks hard thus hurting himself while frowning)

I love that day. Not only did I went to the most coolest (and this, I really mean coolest) but we celebrated someone's birthday. A really special someone who made life unpleasant for me most of the time but yet, a lovable person. Well, it's none other than that little haprak - MY LIL BRO, SYAHREN AMSYAR! Actually, we celebrated his birthday earlier on Saturday but since that day was the real birthday, we decided to celebrate it anyway. So, we (as in me, lil sis, lil bro, cousin, and cousin's friends) celebrated it the coolest (and this, I really mean coolest) place in Singapore - SNOW CITY! And damn was it freaking cold. It's even colder than the time I went South Korea during its winter season. The temperature's an effin -5 degrees celsius. Imagine how cold the place was! And to add to our cool misery, me and my lil bro actually played with the shooting waterworks at Science Centre whislt waiting for our 5.15pm session. (And before that, we were playing Disney's version of Monopoly at Mc'donalds) So we practically went in there with wet clothes under a jacket (and mind you, I was wearing soaked jeans). And to think that my leg hairs were freezing and numb.

The place was totally awesome when we went inside. The slide was imensely firing HOT (contradiction - the place was as cold as a lamb's leg inside a freezer). My oh my, what joy sliding down the slope with just a rubber tube to sit on. We were like going up again and again after sliding down which took less than a minute. And GOD, the going up slope was rather tedious. We had to climb a staircase up three storeys high. My lil bro was panting when he reached up with his double (yes, double) jackets on which made him look like a walking pumpkin (the jacket's colour was orange thus the comparison). OH! My cousin actually flew from her tube when she was sliding down and so, she was on her bums, sliding on an uneven piece of slippery, snowy slope. Then, there was the play area where we get to have our very own snowball fight. Oh yes, I think that was the climax for the day. We tried rolling them into perfect balls but they became flat pratas, so you can call it snowprata fight. There was also a playground, an igloo, a big snowman made of ice, real snow falling from above the playground (machined you see) and pictures!

I'm a wee bit lazy tonight because the picture's still unscanned and unloaded from the cam. We were completely exhausted and we headed back home. We had our dinner at the Coffeeshop Place near my house and then rushed back home to catch MTV EUROPE MUSIC AWARDS and AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS at the same time.

I think that's all about it for yesterday. And oh, plus Fatimah's blogskin is done and I saw a freaking cool picture for Siti's blogskin.

JOB HUNTING DAY! I met up with Yani and Syafz at Yishun MRT Station. They were reallllly late but comfort upon seeing weird, unknown people around me amuses me as I thought back again. Anyway, we had no idea where to go from there. Syafz bought Newpaper for the ads but we couldn't find them so she kept on regretting wasting 70 cents on a 60-page bundle of papers. We thought of becoming odd labourers such as the Karung Guni, cobbler, salesperson at a shophouse, bubble tea sellers, fruit sellers and all sorts of nonsense that we came out with. Then, we decided to pinpoint at the map and tried our luck wherever Syafz's finger was placed. It was Newton and we were looking at each other, dumbfounded. We wanted to go Ang Mo Kio but we were afraid it wouldn't bring us much money so we went to Toa Payoh HDB Hub.

Upon reaching there, we walked around, still thinking of places to work. We came out with Long John Silvers, Mc'donalds and Swensens but they weren't our thang. We ate at Long John's to think about our fate if we were left jobless at the end of the day. Yes, we were rather optimistic people who thinks about our future as an individual in this world of growing economy where money is like our food and shelter (it really got me thinking on that one). Then I checked the Newpaper again and lo and behold, there WAS the classified pages. We ate and called at the same time or was it ate and then call? Whatever it is, I know Yani went Novena in between the two stages. We found a Wall's Ice Cream Ad and a Singer Wanted Ad. We called the Ice Cream one first but they said there were no vacancies left. Then we called another number with an ad saying '18 Events Crew needed'. and we got ourselves an interview at Orchard Towers. We rushed there and lost our way to Orchard Towers though on the way, there were some peculiar stuffs that happened. TSKTSK

The company's name was weird. It was so weird I can't even remember it. But the caption was as lame as pissing duck. Beautiful Singapore for Interesting People like WTFH? We decided to sign up for it anyway. The interview went ok. The interviewer was really friendly and he interviewed all three of us together so there was no nervous breakdown or heart attack incidents. I can only recall that this job requires us to be outdoors, promoting for other organisations' events and there is a training on Monday at 9.15am. But darn, I forgot to ask how much was the pay.

Yani called the Singer Wanted Ad. She has an audition this Saturday so I'm thinking of coming down and support her. After the interview, we brainstormed on Yani's audition stuffs. She needed to prepare a lot of things for it so we decided to help. Me and Syafz kept reminding her that when she becomes famous, she must not forget about us who helped her in her first ever audition and at least give us a job. Syafz would like to become her PA whereas I could become her sound director whatever it is. We practically being optimistic the whole day for GOD's sake.

Finally, we went back Yishun to buy a CD for her demo tapes and minus 1 songs (anyway, does any one of you has any English karaoke CDs we could borrow?). They went back to Syafz's crib after that whereas I waited for my mum, lil bro and lil sis to meet for dinner. We're celebrating lil bro's birthday and my lil sis's PSLE Result day (to remain a positve thinking, I shan't say anything about her results so let's just agree that I'm still the best scorer for PSLE). My dad was mad at me for not telling him that I was looking for a job and saying stuffs that I didn't inform him and my mum because I thought they were dead. I was like fucked up because he had the heart to say that without even hearing my side of the story. Anyway I didn't really planned of having a job. And me having a job is not a bad idea afterall because I'm fucking bored at home doing household chores. And I needed money to buy school stuffs for next year. Parents are so typical nowadays.

Anyway, I told my mum after that and she was okay with it. We ate at Banquet and went home after a few rounds in Causeway Point. My elder bro have to attend a function tomorrow and the dress code is Retro Rock. He needed my help, so I whipped him up something that is rather unque and getting my lil sis to be the model is so not the right thing to do. It was my best costume yet but he decided to change this and that to suit him. Well, I thought the original was better compared to his. Mine was more punk rock with a squeeze of retro silliness in it but his was like classical romeo in tuxedo. Like where's the element for Rock and Retro? And thet thing is, I forgot to take a picture of my design so I guess I have to draw it somehow. I can use it for one of my Preparatory Designs for my O Level Fashion Design coursework. Give me a grade A, please and thank you.

Now, I can't wait for Monday. I really hope all three of us get the job and for Yani's dream of becoming a singer to come true. I shall pray hard and soon big bucks would be coming knocking at my door. Isn't that everybody's fantasy or what? HOHO :)
