Oh what an eventful week it had been.
Starting off with the most depressing Monday I ever had gone through.
To the nerve-wrecking SYF performance.
And to end the week with BLAST - the 'A' Level Project Work Results!

After three months of intense training, sweats and tears, we finally made it to the big stage.
Almost all of us were first time dancers and now, we can proudly say that we are DANCERS in our own rights.
The trainings paid off well and we clinched a SILVER award.
Good job, YJC Malay Dancers!
Although I was quite disappointed with the results, I know that shits do happen and I can't complain much.
So it was a rather decent result, given the fact that we're first-timers :)

Project Work results was rather surprising.
The cohort didn't do as well as the previous batch, so that was a big shocker for all of us.
Anyway, I got my 2nd A grade!
But once again, I felt a little guilty because my other members had Bs.
I don't know what to say to them but what I do know is that we all put our best effort into it.
And at the end of the day, we had passed major obstacles and challenges and managed to secure a good result.
So to my POWER TO THE DALITS group, congratulations! :)

Next week will be another busy week full of competitions - Nationals Track & Field Championship.
I've to start back on my training pretty soon.
Hope I do my best this year, insyaallah.

Allah answered my prayers afterall. Today was a much better day than yesterday. No more emotions running low. Maybe because of the work I had to do the whole day today. From the college's Open House to just chilling out with friends after that. I know I am blessed with such good company but...

Never mind.

I found myself a good place to just relax and study for this gruelling, and challenging year. Somewhere where I could find good food and a nice ambience (quiet and comfortable at the same time). And hopefully, my super girl gets a job there. Good luck :)

The Open House wasn't that bad. Even though there wasn't a good turn-up this year, we still managed to pull through a good performance overall. Kudos to the different CCAs and departments for doing a great job. And MCS, all the best in recruiting future members. Hahaha.

Oh well, school's starting next week. The part when most of us gets all grumpy and moody but hey, I'm actually looking forward to school. It's the back-to-school days again yawww! :)

OMG, I saw this picture at YJC's website. It was during the Jam & Hop Night during PAE. Time past really fast and I'm going to be in J2 next year. I think I'm going to pee in my pants. No, just kidding.

Let me see. Junior College gave me a new insight into Singapore's education system. Not only is it tougher than secondary school (goodness gracious me), there's much more freedom for us. I kinda like the whole thing but fortunately, it's just for two years (three or four for some?). Anyway, I feel that I don't regret going to JC at all. I've never wanted to go Polytechnic to begin with. But Art schools were pretty much too expensive for me to afford so here I am! Even though Yishun Junior College wasn't exactly my choice of college, it's still a college afterall. I mean I'm already in a top value-added college, what more can I ask for? Not a lot of colleges can boast about that.

Oh I've met the most intersting people in YJC as well, from PAE and JAE. The friends I've made will always be in my memories and we'll always keep in touch through our adult years. They've made me realised to live life to the fullest, that whatever happens, they got my back. And I thank Allah for allowing me to know you, the ones who made me Mr. Sunshine ;)

In YJC too, I realised my greatest potentials. I've never represented the school as much as I did in my first year in the college. Tsk it beats the whole of my secondary school years, that's how much I represented the school! Even though I don't win some of the competitions, but the exposure given was enough. The new friends I made through the journeys are trophies of my competitions. Thus, I really have to thank my teachers for putting faith in me.

Now, here I am, growing stronger, braver, older (Oh my) by the minute. I am proud to say that I am a JC kid, from YJC in fact, and there's not another minute passed by that I ever turned back to regret my first year in college. I am looking forward to next year, to spend the best time of my life with the people I love. I can't wait to see you again next year.

PS: My dear 230-ians, when do we get our Dickies? HAHAHAHA! (I can't help myself)

Whatever You Like

I can finally breathe nice, cool oxygen again.
Project Work is FINALLY over.
So long sleepless nights, 3000-words essays and whatnots.
I shall see you again in University (if I ever make it there).

I think I'll die in college if not for my class.
I swear I'm really thankful for my classmates.
They make me super high every day.
Gayu started everything, along with Haziyah.

I want to play catching at the quadrangle.
I want to do more jump shots.
I want to do crazy dancing along the corridors.
I want to promote and retain my 4 H2s.
YJC, you're killing me.

Raaaah, I miss R like kutubabis.
One more week to go, just one more Syahrul.
And we'll spend our lives together under rain or shine.

Love Lockdown

First and foremost (ZOMG sounds like my OP speech), BARACK OBAMA WON!
We shall have tea soon.

Anyway, today's OP practice was awesome.
I was feeling super high because (Gayu knows)
We ran all over Singapore, no actually quadrangle.
But that is still not a normal thing to do in YJC.
Everything was so mundane.
And then you see two retarded kids going crazy and wild at the quadrangle.
Disturbing the peace much, Gayu?
Heee :D

130 is getting closer as days goes by.
I think it's due to OP, seriously.
Tomorrow is our official OP day.
I feel the jitters yaww.
But I am going to stay clam and demure like always :D
(I can sense people throwing pebbles at me)

I love Jeniffer Hudson's Spotlight.
It's so orgasmic, I mean her voice.

I have to do something very important now.
It's so important that I forgot what it is in the first place.
OH! I almost forgot.
For the past few days, my PW group have been camwhoring with Fara's webcam.
The results were priceless, I tell you!
Shall post it sooooon.
But for now, I finally believe that I can fly WITHOUT wings.

Don't Let Me Get Me

The Malay paper was good.
Plus that was the first time I wrote an essay 5 pages long. Tsk.
Was definitely into it :)

Now, I pray to Allah for that Amazing A in March next year.

Tomorrow is Love's first paper.
All the best to you, dear.
For I'll be there with you, all the way.
I don't know how to support you during these times.
But I hope our love is enough for you to do your very best in your papers.

I'll wait for your call after you finish the whole exam.
With good news of my Promotion results (I hope).
:D

Now, it's time to go soar to greater heights with Project Work's Oral Presentation :)
Baby, I am soooo ready. Rawr.

I wanna make love now (Nanana)

College is fun when you're with The Great Gorgeous Queen of Egypt aka Gayu.
She's like the funniest and lovable person I know in my whole life, serious.
We'll talk about anything under the sun and she entertains my nonsense most of the time.
Oh and we feel that talking about Global Warming is normal.
And the occasional star jumps.
Plus we want to get married ASAP!
*shows Gayu hand signs* (read: if you know what I mean)

LOL we're so dope yawww.

Anyway, I was walking home just now and this African guy walked past me.
He was talking on the phone and said, "You don't fock (f word but that's how he said it) with me or I'll get you down".
And I burst out laughing, like literally.

Oh apparently CT hates my CTG to the core please.
Long story, but I'll tell everything to R.
Heee I guess you have to be like R to hear my stories, yes?
I miss my syg, Nizam and GreGORY.

Lost then Found

The day didn't start off on a good note.
Firstly, it was because I didn't sleep till 4plus because I was waiting for...
But I blame it on myself for my own stupidity.
Maybe it was true what Nizam said, "Don't get your hopes up".
Yet, I never learn.

Secondly, it was hell break loose when I couldn't find my PE shorts in the morning.
And I was running late for school.
I was in a VERY bad mood and slammed the front gate without even taking breakfast or bid goodbye to mum as I usually do.

But I enjoyed myself in school today.
The House Extravaganza 2008 was awesome.
I love the Hip Hop dance and archery was really... okay.
BUT, I didn't get to go for the go-kart race!
I've never regretted anything so much in my life before.
It was in the college's carpark by the way.

Anyway, the rest is history.
ADMIRALTY all the way! (we're in fourth place anyway)

Future Love

Syahrul is in a euphoric state after all the hell he went through.
He survived Promos and cannot wait to talk to Nizam and his baby.

Syahrul shall go to school tomorrow for House Extravaganza 2008 and enjoy himself.
And whatever the circumstances is, he is so going to try out the go-kart racing tomorrow at his college's track.

And to start everything anew, he has changed his blog skin.
Be mesmerized yaw!

We're through to the 4x100m Finals!
Tsk okay.

Anyway, weekends are going to be tougher than tough.
I've got heaps of assignments and tests to study for, so I've to get my priorities straight.
Today itself, I've to do the Pre-U Sem stuff in school and WR.
Yes, I can't wait! :D :D

Thanks uh, CTs.

I need to mentally prepare myself for the worst.

I'm asking for too much.
It's not surprising if someone said I'm too demanding.
And all I can say is... I'm a Virgin afterall (:

Your Love is Blind

I am officially a YJC student today.
I bought my uniform yesterday and today marks the beginning of my two years in JC.
And it felt great... NOT!

ZOMG, I failed my Maths test today by 1 freaking mark!
I am so upset, I could have killed myself in the LT.
Hence, by that failure, I have to go bridging lessons after school and on Saturdays.
How irritating can that get? Really :/

Anyhoos, I can't believe I actually took 4 H2 subjects.
The norm is usually 3 H2s and 1 H1 subjects.
So, by taking 4 H2s, I claimed myself a mugger for the rest of the next two years of my life.
And I even changed class for taking 4 H2s.
I was so contented in my previous class, and suddenly I'm in a class with two guys (including me) and 24 girls.
And this other guy appealed to polytechnic, so just great!

Oh whatever.
I like the class anyway.
Even though I've yet to befriend each and every one of them.

Had bridging lessons after school and I was supposed to go Dikir Barat after that.
But I wasn't feeling quite well, so I headed home.
Spoke to ______ while walking home.
Ahhhh it's just so fucking nice to hear your voice once in a while.
IMY luh.

Enough about that, now how's your day today?
Wait a minute... I've got no time for you right now.
I've got 4 Art reviews to do and sketches to be done by tomorrow.

I believe Allah has better plans for me.

Crank That

Why is it sometimes I feel really shitty when I'm alone?
It feels like I have a pretty heavy heart and the only way to lighten it is to cry.
And when I tried to cry, all that came out was dry.

I have enough of this feeling.
It makes me feel really low and un-SUNSHINEY.

I think it is because of the fact that I'm going to leave YJC.
The fact that I'm leaving the very people who I had made friends with in JC.
The fact that there is a high possibilty my bestfriend in JC is not going to end up in the same JC.
The fact that many of my friends will miss the fuck out of me.

I know it's hard to say goodbye.
It's never really going to be easy at all too.
But I hope we're not going to part ways after this.
No, it won't be the end of our friendship.

I'll miss you twice the amount you'll missed me.
And it's not because I want to leave you too.
It's not like I have any friends in NYJC too.

I'm sorry, maybe I had betrayed your trust in me.
But I wasn't planning to tell you at all because I'm afraid you'll feel this way.
But word has gone around, so I'm really going to spend the most out of this two weeks left.

I'm sorry, a hundred times.
I'll miss you, a thousand times.
I love you, a million times :(

WAHH okay. I can only update once a week now.
Have been going home late everyday, dog tired when I come home.

Anyway, highlight of this week?
I'm staying in YJC, baybeh.
Even if I get 10 points, because I can apply for a YJC scholarship.
It's better than travelling to faraway good JC and having to compete for a scholarship because even with 10, you're still not good enough.
If you think about it, it's the best of both worlds!

AND 25th is the day!
I'll save my bucket of tears for Friday.
Wish me luck for that 10 points!

HAHAHA do you know there's ARABIC translation in Blogger?
Like awesome (:

I can't talk mu.
I've got homeworks to do.
I'm busy, busy.
Sorry for not updating that regularly.
I'll try, I will (:

Suga Suga

Okay it's been a while since I updated VM.
Well, I tried yesterday but no, Blogger was being a bitch.

Let's start from Wednesday.
Lessons officially started!
And boy, what a shock to us when we're all separated to different classes.
I was so lost, I swore I wanted to cry.
LOL luckily, Chor Ming (a guy from my OG15!) is in the same class with me.
So we went to the class together.
It was a two-storey, container classroom.

Did the usual introduction and stuff.
I think my classmates are cool, rather outspoken.

Thursday
Our first assembly and I was seated right smack in the middle of the auditorium.
I could see everything from where I was seating.
And Mdm. headmaster is verrrry funny.
It's a good thing though. TSK (:

I hate talking about lessons.
They're so cold and weird.
I meant the environment of course, since we're in Lecture Theatres now.

Friday
TGIF! HAHA really.
It's so sad that everyone remembers me by Mr. Sunshine.
It's turning into a facade already. LOL (:
Even strangers recognise me with Mr. Sunshine.

Anyway, I was really frustrated that I had to come back to school after Friday prayers because we had a Maths lecture which starts at 2.40pm.
And I was really looking forward to AISS's CCA Open House.
On the way back to YJC, I saw a lot of the ex-students already on the way there.
Bloody hell.

CCA Open House was a blast!
I met all my wonderful mates and teachers.
I hugged Sherry, I could've crushed her if only.
I hugged Sindhu and gave her a Spongebob file.
I talked to Amir, Irni, SiewChen, Siti, Hanim, Wani, Laila, Diana & all my other Malay people.
I miss them like fucking much and somehow I started counting down to O LEVEL Results day.

15 MORE DAYS!

Okay, talked to Mr. Thiru and had a mini 3/4E5 gathering and dinner at Prata Place.
Oh HIHI, KUKU, WJ, YULI and me squeezed into his car whereas HARRY, HAKIM, MR.G & whats-his-name-again? took a taxi.
The guy whom I forgot his name wasn't E5-ian.
Well, he's an ex-AI student and a year senior than us.
And he's in YJC but I've no idea why he joined us.
LOL (:

Saturday
MICHELLE WOAH (LOL, inside joke), I miss you much already.
I had a great time with her.
We went for stationary shopping and a movie together.
HOHOHO she was acting like an elder sister luh.

Met her at Novena MRT with her friend who was an AI student, but I couldn't recognise him.
LOL I'm too weird like that.
Then, we met WeiJie at his workplace, M&S yaww.
We were shouting his name in the shop, I tell you.
That is how shameless we could be. HAHA (:

We hanged out around with him since he was having his break.
Took his Popular card for stationary shopping and camwhored like nothing else mattered.
I think WeiJie is cool, he's so unashamed of his surroundings. HAHAHA

After which, we ate at BBQ Chicken at Cineleisure.
We were talking about stuff and perverts and gay groups.
Oh Mich, let's wish them a happy life ahead okay?
Headed to Orchard MRT's Popular store.
Got a few things but I wanted to go Northpoint's reliable Pop's store.

Then, we went to Plaza Singapura.
We were contemplating whetehr to watch I AM LEGEND or MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS.
HAHA Mich said, the latter sounded sleazy.
So we watched IAL (read: I AM LEGEND)

I recommend it to those who have very low EQs.
It's really a touching movie.
But of all scenes, Mich teared when the dog died :\
Ratings would be 4.5/5 golden marshmellows.

Headed back to Yishun after that.
I'm so fickle when it comes to nice-looking and cheap stationaries.
HAHAH then I walked home with Mich, talked about stuff again.
I confessed to her about my road phobias, it's serious okay.
Not funny.

Then, I walked all the way home.
I was thinking about pre-marital sex and foreign workers.
LOL go figure! :)

Sunday (well, Today)
Had my religious class.
As usual, I was so bored, I studied Chemistry.
And I realised it was the same as what we learnt in Sec 3.
I'm very, very rusty which makes me feel very, very frustrated and stressed out.
Weekly tests are starting next week.

And I've yet to make up my mind about JC.
I have made great friends here in YJC, so please Allah help me.
Oh and stop degrading YJC please.
It's not as if we're so bad, even your mother couldn't qualify for a JC.
We're as good as any other and the reason why our L1R5 is 20 is because of our flexible combinations.
The students can take whichever subjects they wish, not like other JCs who corrupt their little 'geniuses'.
And to think that students in other jCs think that they're better than us just because they end school way early.
Well, that's because the teachers in YJC care so much about their students unlike other snobbish JC teachers.
So what if we have retainees? In fact, all the JCs have retainees.
So why don't you bad-mouthed them?
At the end of the day, YJC have the highest percentage of students going University.
How about those top JCs? 70%? 60%?
Doesn't mean you're in a top JC, it makes you real-ass smart!
You'd be crying later because you wouldn't make the cut for University because of that i'msogoodicouldsellmybody attitude.

Grrr.. People who talked bad about YJC, needs to be cult.
Pronto.

Dirty Pop

Today was really fun but sad at the same time.
Today marks the last day of Soar! In YJC for JC1s.
And tomorrow marks the beginning of a new chapter in our lives - JC life.
LOL I just finished literature homework and I've no idea when is the nest lesson!
They're giving the timetables tomorrow and starting on it immediately!
Such a stupid, moronic, idiotic, bleedy idea but heck.

Today, my OG was really enthusiastic for the Yishun Amazing Race.
I was really elated for the fact that everyone is working together.
Today was the first time we won something as a group.
HAHAH and to think that 3 days of Orientation had passed.

Anyway, I'm going to miss all my OGLs!
Namely, Marcus, Yong San, Jing Shen and Sudi! Tsktsk (:
I sound so happy.. :\

Oh I've got pictures!
I'll let pictures do the talking uh.
After Jam & Hop Night, the AISS people.

1 & 2. Photos during Mass Photoshoot.
3. Marcus became my model. Not bad uh (:

1 & 2. My OG15!

Okay, I had to model as a Pirate.
HAHAHA so much for a Pirate.
Aye Aye Mate!

Nominees for Mr and Miss Sunshine.

Lo & behold! Your Mr. and Miss Sunshine 2008! Syahrul & Nurliza.

It was unexpected, and I was backstage, preparing to compete for Dance King when they announce it!

Below: Dance King & Queen 2008! Nizam can shake dangerously! LOL And Myra's moves were sizzling. I was dancing with her anyway (:(:

Low

Haha I can safely say today I was quite enthusiastic about orientation.
We had our Maths lecture and English Literature tutorial for myself.
I have to tell you that the atmosphere is so much different than in a classroom.

I miss being in class!

GAH. Orientation games were great although the other members in my group weren't that enthusiastic about it.
I was quite used to it.
And I saw my picture selected for the Mr. Sunshine!
OMG, bloody hell, so weird.
WJ's was weirder :)

I like my OG very very much.
And I'm going to miss Orientation since tomorrow's gonna be the last day.

Note to self: Read up on A.Maths.
I swear I was lost since he started on Trigonometry!
That is how rusty I am and that's the most basic chapter already luh!

Tomorrow's Yishun Amazing Race.
Don't be surprised if your bus is really, super, extra crowded tomorrow.
HAHAHA. I love YJC.

P.S (I'm still not over you)

I'm starting to like YJC.
It's like that sense of attachment to the school is already there.
Although it's not my choice of school to begin with (NANYANG!!), I feel the bond I have with this school.

Yesternight was really an awesome night for all the JC1s because we had our Jam-And-Hop!
Hehe we got to dance and rock out with a live band which I must say is pretty good.
I guess for AISS students, it was like our second Graduation Night dancefloor.
So, Myra & me were like the hardcore dancers and our moves were like WHAT!

LOL.
I can't wait to go to school now.
We're going to start the lectures next week and see how things run in JC.
I don't think you can call JC life as already 'matured', it's just like any other life you lead in your primary or secondary school.

Oh and I'm nominated for Mr. Sunshine in the school along with WJ who is nominated in Miss. Sunshine.
Cool eh? I think we took really good candid pictures. HAHAHA
I can imagine a ray of light coming out within me as they took my picture.
HAHAHA that's why we're called Sunshine?
LMAO.

Tsk.
On the last note, I'm just very very happy I chose YJC though I refuse to admit it.
I'm still confused though whether to continue my stay. Pfft..
